Digradient – Human shapes

Digradient - Personal Project

Digradient is a personal project that explores the simplification of the human figure through its reduction to simple lines, and how we are capable of deducing those shapes and forms even when pared back to their most basic traces.

In this project, I thought it could be interesting to use a partial 3D technique. The idea here is to reflect humanity in a different three-dimensional way than the one we are used to, with its unbreakable connection to lights and shadows.

The last element which defines the project is colour. The use of the gradients chart a change, a progression and, in a way, an evolution; I thought that these elements complemented the human concept in a deeper and more meaningful way. The use of colour allows us to appreciate the fundamental differences between people, but at the same time it highlights how these are only variations of the same consistent elements which unite us all and make us equal.
